It is designed to make it easy for customers to choose the correct accessories and avoid purchasing items that are not compatible with their specific Byrna model.

Key Compatibility Rules

1. Caliber Determines Ammunition

• .68 caliber launchers use only .68 caliber projectiles
• .61 caliber launchers use only .61 caliber projectiles
• These are not interchangeable

2. Magazines Follow Platform Groups

• .68 caliber pistol magazines are shared across .68 pistol models
• .61 caliber magazines are shared within the CL platform (CL and CL XL)
• Rifle platforms use dedicated magazines for each model

3. CO2 Is Model Dependent

• Launchers use 8g, 12g, or 88g CO2 depending on design
• CO2 sizes are not interchangeable
• Boost adapters change CO2 requirements

Not Compatible:

• CL
• CL XL

Restrictions:

• Not compatible if any of the following are installed:
  • Laser
  • Rail-mounted accessory

• Exception:

  • HD, EP, and SD models equipped with a Boost Adapter only will still fit the Level II Holster
  • If a Boost Adapter is installed together with any additional accessory, the launcher will no longer fit

Can be used:

• Without accessories
• With one accessory installed (light, laser, or boost adapter)

Group 2:

• LE
• LE Gen 2
• CL XL

Can be used:

• Without any accessories installed

Not Compatible Scenarios:

• LE with any accessory installed
• CL XL with any accessory installed
• SD or HD with both a boost adapter and a rail-mounted accessory installed

Does all Byrna ammo work in every launcher?
No. Ammo must match the launcher caliber. .68 and .61 ammunition are not interchangeable.
